Less is Best: A Minimizing Manual for ADD Adults

Both of us have ADD, and neither of us have ever been able to keep a tidy household, pay our bills on time, or keep track of appointments...except for those few times in our lives when we haven't owned very much.

We've been interested in voluntary simplicity, simple living, whatever you want to call it, for several years now, but we had never made the connection between living as minimalists (only owning what you need) and being able to stay on top of things. Once we discovered that there's a direct correlation, we dove into minimalism with vigor. We started reading more about how American consumerism affects the rest of the world, and were humbled by the direct correlation there too.

Adults with ADD or ADHD often want to be environmentally responsible, recycle, volunteer, and generally do our part to make the world a better place. But we often find ourselves overwhelmed by the responsibilities of daily life, and have no time or attention to give to larger concerns. It's hard to worry about ocean pollution when you can barely keep your head above water at home! But this is one way to make a positive difference on a global scale, and gain control of our lives at home, too: minimize our possessions.

Less is Best: A Minimizing Manual for ADD Adults will address these and many other concerns of ADDers, and will offer practical, down-to-earth, step-by-step assistance on how to minimize your household so you can maximize your potential. It is almost complete and I'll be seeking representation for it soon.  Watch this space for updates!
